Citizens Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee (2)
Purpose of Committee: The purpose of the Citizens Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of County Commissioners on floodplain management and hazard mitigation strategies. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the evaluation of (1) a program for public information, (2) a flood insurance coverage improvement plan and (3) a floodplain management or hazard mitigation plan.
Qualifications: Seeking applicants who reside or own a business within St. Johns County or conduct a majority of their business in St. Johns County. Applicant shall be non-governmental and demonstrate experience or expertise in compatible areas, including but not limited to neighborhood or homeowner associations, insurance, emergency/disaster response, utilities, chamber of commerce or other business organization, trade associations of builders or contractors, developers/real estate organizations, environmental organizations, engineering, planning, agriculture, handicap accessibility, education, non-profit organizations, business leadership, residence in the floodplain, or any other interested parties comprising the general public.
Term: Members serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting Schedule: The Committee shall hold regular quarterly meetings, and may meet more frequently if needed or may meet on an alternate day as provided in its rules. Meetings are to be held in Conference Room 1A/1B of the County Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway.

North Florida Transportation Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Council (CAC)(1)
Purpose of Committee: The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is established to provide citizen comments and views on the metropolitan planning process and to serve in an advisory capacity to the North Florida TPO on matters related to transportation planning. Responsibilities of the CAC included: Review and comment on proposed goals and policies for the transportation planning process, on developing the long range transportation plan, on specific projects and corridor studies, on short range transportation planning, and carry out other tasks as requested by the North Florida TPO.
Qualifications: Seeking a St Johns County resident to serve at large. May represent civic organizations, environmental groups, community redevelopment authorities, homeowner associations and other similar organizations. Persons residing within the North Florida TPO geographical boundary are eligible for membership unless that person holds elective office or a non-elective position in any unit of state or local government having jurisdiction. Members shall be endorsed by the St. Johns County Commissioners but serve at the pleasure of the North Florida TPO.
Meeting Schedule: This Council meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 10 am in the North Florida TPO Room, 980 North Jefferson St., Jacksonville, Fl 32209.

Arts/ Culture I Heritage Funding Panel (8) (5 Regular, 3 Alternate)
Purpose of Committee: The Funding Panel is an advisory committee to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. Its charge is to evaluate and rank funding applications in accordance with the approved funding guidelines as enumerated by the mission and goals established by the Tourist Development Council and in accordance with Chapter 125.0104, Florida Statutes.
Qualifications: Seeking five (5) members who are residents of St. Johns County with a demonstrated interest in tourism/cultural development and promotion, one of which is an alternate with voting privileges only in the absence of one or more regular member. Seeking three (3) members who are non-county residents that are professionals with arts, cultural, or heritage organizations or institutions with experience utilizing events as tourism demand generators, one of which is an alternate with voting privileges only in the absence of one or more regular member.
Term: St. Johns County resident members serve two (2) year terms and non-residents serve one (1) year terms.
Meeting Schedule: This Panel meets quarterly (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct) at the County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View. Additional special meetings may be called, when needed, particularly during budget preparation.

South Anastasia Design Review Board (2 Alternate and 2 Members)
Purpose of Committee: The purpose of the South Anastasia Design Review Board is to protect and preserve the “Old Florida” style, rural beach community in the South Anastasia Overlay District and achieve specific goals and objective of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan. The Design Review Board’s (DRB) primary responsibility is to determine compliance with Part 3.07.00 South Anastasia Overlay of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.
Qualifications: Must be a St. Johns County resident who has shown an interest in the history and design of the South Anastasia Community. Prefer at least one regular member who owns or operates an active business with a physical presence within the District and meet the Membership Area overlay residency requirement. In the event there are no qualified applicants for this position, an applicant that only meets the Membership Area overlay residency requirement may be appointed. All other members shall meet the Membership Area overlay residency requirement, members shall reside on Anastasia Island south of Dondanville Road. Members are required to file financial disclosure.

Ponte Vedra Zoning & Adjustment Board (1)
Purpose of Committee:
Regulate and restrict the height and size of buildings; to regulate and restrict the intensity of land use; to regulate the area of yards, courts and other space about buildings, to classify, regulate and restrict the location of commerce and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, commercial, residential and other uses within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.
Qualifications: Must be a register voter in St Johns County and reside in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.  Members must file financial disclosure.

Cultural Resource Review Board (1)
Purpose of Committee: Advise the Board of County Commissioners regarding cultural, architectural, archaeological, and historical resources of St. Johns County; and to identify, evaluate, document, designate, and protect these resources.
Qualifications: Prefer Representative from District 2. All members will be qualified through the demonstration of special interest, experience, or education in the preservation of the County’s cultural resources. Members shall, when possible, have practical and professional experience in one or more of the following fields: archaeology, architecture or architectural history, curation or conservation, planning, professional engineering, real estate, history, historic preservation, or related disciplines.
Term: Members serve a term of four (4) years. Members must file a financial disclosure.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets the first Monday of every other month at 3:30 p.m. in Executive Board Room at the St. Johns County Administrative Complex located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine Florida.

Fire Code Board of Appeals (7) – 2 Regular & 5 Alternates
Purpose of Committee: To rule on matters relating to the Fire Code and its enforcement in accordance with NFPA Section 1.10.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a County resident. Seeking those with experience in one of the following: Engineering or architectural design; General contracting; Fire protection contracting; Building code enforcement; Legal.
Meeting Schedule: Meetings of the Board of Appeals shall be held at the call of the chair, at such other times as the Board of Appeals determines, and within 30 days of the filing of a notice of appeal.
