14th Annual Bartram Bash – Come celebrate the First American Born Naturalist, William Bartram, at the 14th Annual Bartram Bash on Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy live Americana and Bluegrass music by Tommy Bledsoe, education presentations, booths and kid's games, yoga in the park, bird walks, and Stetson Kennedy Award presentations. 2018 Just Tri it! Kids Triathlon – Join us on April 15, at 8 a.m. at the Solomon Calhoun Center! Children ages 5-14 can join in the fun and JUST TRI IT! This is a non-competitive event giving everyone the chance to participate in a Triathlon. The first 250 children to pick up their race packets will get a Just Tri It! tee shirt and every child that completes the race will get a medal for their accomplishment! Just Tri It!
Explore St. Johns County – Join the County Naturalists for programs highlighting our unique history and beautiful environment. February programs include: an Owl Prowl, Children's Shorebird Nesting Program, Everyone Can Conserve: Bird is the Word, Introduction to Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, Owl and Sunset Symphony, Deep Creek Kayak Trip, Trout Creek Waterway Cleanup, Fitness in the Park, and Historical Switzerland Dedication Day. St. Johns Golf Club Master Plan – The St. Johns Board of County Commissioners approved Phase III of a golf course Master Plan and Architectural redesign project for the St. Johns Golf Club on January 16. The final initiative will include recommendations regarding drainage, irrigation, an updated golf course design, and a land plan for potential infill residential units. The Board is scheduled to hear and consider the final recommendation and a potential private-public partnership related to the course in spring 2018. Underwater Easter Egg Hunt – Free event on Thursday, March 22, 6:30-7:00pm. Children ages 5 to 12 years are invited to gather eggs left underwater in the Solomon Calhoun Pool. Pope Road Beach Access Closure due to Beach Renourishment Project – The St. Augustine Beach access point will be closed beginning Monday, November 27 for an Army Corps of Engineers beach renourishment project. The access point will remain a staging area for equipment throughout the project, which is scheduled to be completed in spring 2018.
