Camps


Summer Camp Registration Closed March 13 @ 5 p.m.

The Summer Camp Registration Drawing is not on a first-come, first-serve basis. Names are drawn at random so that all resident children entered have an equal chance at participation. The drawing will be held Monday, March 23, 2020. You do not need to be present and the results of the drawing will be mailed out no later than April 6, 2020.

Middle School Spring Break Exploration Camp
When: March 16-20 from 9 .am. - 4:30 p.m.
Where: Ketterlinus Gymnasium, 60 Orange St., St. Augustine
Details: Join our Park Naturalist for an engaging week filled with outdoor exploration. Campers will attend daily field trips and participate in activities such as kayaking, fishing, beach cleanups, water quality testing, and more. This camp is perfect for middle schoolers who love the outdoors and want to know more about careers in this field. Before and after care is available from 7:30-9am and 4:30-5:30pm. When: 10:00 a.m. Pictures with the Easter Bunny and 11 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt!

Movies in the Park
SJC Parks and Recreation's Movies in the Park series will premier with UglyDolls at 7:30 p.m. on March 28 at Veterans Park, 1332 Veterans Pkwy, St. Johns. Families are welcome to bring blankets and chairs and relax on the lawn to watch this family-friendly movie underneath the stars. Movies begin at sunset, are free, and open to the public. Programs

Open Gym at Solomon Calhoun Center
Bring your crew and play some ball during our open gym hours at Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval Street, St. Augustine. Monday through Friday, January 6 through May 29, the gym will be open to adults from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and students from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This program is FREE, but you must bring your own basketball and sign in upon arrival. Family Fitness Class
When: Second Monday of each month: 4/13, and 5/11
Time: 5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Where: Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval St., St. Augustine
Details: Join us for an upbeat fitness class for all ages and levels! These classes will include cardio kickboxing, circuit training, dance for fitness, running, polymetric exercises, pilates, stretching, wang chung moves, and yoga. We ask that all participants wear comfortable exercise attire, bring a mat or towel, and a water bottle. This program is FREE, open to all ages, and hosted by our Public Library System. Kid’s Art Program
When: Third Thursday of the month from 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Where: Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval St., St. Augustine

Elementary Enrichment Program
When: March 23 through May 27: Monday - Friday, 3-6pm, Wednesdays 2-6pm
Where: Ketterlinus Gymnasium, 60 Orange St., St. Augustine
Details: We are now offering an after school program for elementary schoolers! In this program, participants will complete homework and take part in extra recreational activities. Kids will be able to conduct science experiments to expand their scientific knowledge and deductive reasoning. The cost of the nine-week program is $270 and parents will need to register their child. Middle School After School Program
When: March 23 through May 27: Monday - Friday, 2-6pm, Wednesdays 1-6pm
Where: Ketterlinus Gymnasium, 60 Orange St., St. Augustine
Details: Middle School Rec program for kids grades 6th through 8th. Staff will help with homework, provide extra recreational activities, and kids will get the chance to socialize with their peers. We can even pick up your child from school, within a five-mile radius, for an additional cost.
