Restore St. Johns Disaster Recovery Program Intake Center registration ended in May 2020. This County-based housing recovery program was implemented to help eligible St. Johns County homeowners who experienced home damage during Hurricane Matthew.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery funds to Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for activities authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and described in the State of Florida Action Plan for Disaster Recovery. St. Johns County entered into an agreement with Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (agreement # H2338) to administer disaster recovery funds. Of these funds, Restore St. Johns was able to assist eligible St. Johns County homeowners still recovering from Hurricane Matthew.
